In The Summer of 2007, I started planning the DcTubeGathering with
a Fellow YouTuber named John, MindofMusic.
It was the first “contained” gathering within a building.
It was also the first event to mix both sponsors and charities.
Our charity that we involved was The Diabetes Association.
Some of our sponsors included Red Bull, Island Oasis and The Alexandria Chamber Of Commerce
We chose a night club/Restaurant that had a huge parking lot,
We secured entertainment from the YouTube Community itself,
And made sure our event was family friendly.
Our event even had hourly door prizes

Freddie’s Beach Bar to check out my latest designs from my Store!

Can you believe people decided to eat Cicadas during the “Outbreak”?
Radio stations called me daily asking me to serve one up and eat it…
(My going price for eating a bug btw is $500)

1000’s of t-shirts were sold in all! My store’s phone rang off the hook!
People loved that they could get “Prettier” versions of  Cicada Broox X on T-Shirts!
My Cicada Couture was the answer!

Cicada Invasion 2004 was a hit at Jolene’s Trailer Park, and the media swooped
into Freddie’s Beach Bar to meet with
Jolene and her Original Cicada products.

the 17 Year Cicada that appeared on the East Coast during the Summer.
